PIPE BANDS
BRISBANE PIPE BAND
Brisbane Pipe Band plays regularly for public and private events in Brisbane and surrounding regions, and they wear the McNeill of Barra Tartan. They play in the Brisbane St Patrick’s Day Parade, Anzac Day March and Labour Day March to name a few. They also compete up and down Australia’s east coast every year, and won the State Championships in 2023 and 2024.
Band members are keen to help the South East Queensland pipe band community grow by teaching pipes and drums and welcoming new people to learn and play great music.

MURRUMBA PIPES & DRUMS SOCIETY
Murrumba Pipes and Drums Society have just returned from competing at the World Pipe Band Championships in Scotland. Band members enjoyed the honour of competing on the world stage at Glasgow Green and also took the opportunity to perform as special guests at the Highland Night hosted by esteemed band, The Vale of Atholl Pipe Band. Murrumba Pipes and Drums Society regularly compete in Australia and have also ventured to New Zealand and Scotland over the years.

REDCLIFFE SCOTTISH PIPE BAND
Redcliffe Scottish Pipe Band was founded in 1953 and over the decades has proudly represented the community at Anzac Day, charity, and historical events across the Peninsula and Caboolture area. They are known for hosting regular vibrant Ceilidhs filled with Scottish music and group dancing, along with pipe band and Highland Dancing performances. They welcome those that are keen to learn pipes or drums, and those returning to playing.

SCOTS PGC PIPES & DRUMS
Scots PGC Pipes and Drums play an integral role at many College events including the ANZAC Day Commemoration and at civic occasions across the Southern Downs region.
Members come from junior school upwards with opportunities to compete at pipe band competitions and in solo competitions. The band will perform at CelticFest Warwick on the main stage bringing traditional pipe band music and contemporary Celtic music for the audience. They will also support the Australian Celtic Women at the feature CelticFringe concert to be held at Club Warwick RSL.

THE TOOWOOMBA CALEDONIAN SOCIETY PIPE BAND
The Toowoomba Caledonian Society Pipe Band perform at numerous community events in Toowoomba and across South East Queensland including Highland Gatherings and Pipe Band Competitions. They are seen each year leading the impressive Carnival of Flowers Festival Parade through the streets of Toowoomba. The group also hosts regular Celtic Ceilidhs open to all to come along for a memorable family night out.

WARWICK THISTLE PIPE BAND
Warwick Thistle Pipe Band have just completed their first overseas tour in their over 100 year history, to the home of bagpipes, Scotland. Thirty-three of the band’s musicians, aged 11 to 74, performed at iconic venues around Scotland including Stirling Castle, The Kelpies, Crieff Highland Gathering and at the largest piping festival in the World, Piping Live in Glasgow. They are key partners in bringing CelticFest Warwick to life, and running the operations of many areas of this community event. They also enjoy playing in the Southern Downs community and welcome those interested in joining their pipe band adventures.
